April 25th 2025
In celebration of its 25th anniversary, Gerald Charles introduced a refined and exclusive timepiece at Watches & Wonders Geneva 2025: the Maestro GC39 25th Anniversary Edition. Drawing inspiration from the rare 2005 GC39 designed by Gérald Genta, this release delivers a sophisticated reinterpretation rather than a replica.

A Fresh Take on a Legacy Design
Crafted in polished grade 5 titanium, the 42mm case houses a unique multi-layer dial featuring a vivid blue lapis lazuli centerpiece. Surrounding it is a shimmering outer ring, created using a never-before-seen “meta-guilloché” technique—a chemical-etching process that mimics gem-like brilliance.

Precision Engineering Inside
Powering the GC39 is Gerald Charles’ own Manufacture 4.0 jumping-hours caliber, made up of 265 parts and offering a 50-hour power reserve. The complication advances the hour disk instantly each hour—an engineering feat, considering the disk is 25 times heavier than a traditional hand. The caseback reveals an exquisitely finished movement with Geneva stripes and a gold-toned rotor engraved with the 25th anniversary logo.

Designed for Distinctive Presence
Larger than previous Maestro models, the GC39 retains the brand’s signature asymmetric silhouette but now leans into a more squared form. It’s equipped with a blue vulcanized rubber strap, featuring a Clous de Paris texture and a butterfly clasp. Weighing only 96 grams and water-resistant to 100 meters, it’s surprisingly wearable.

A Collector’s Dream
Limited to just 100 units and priced at $42,300, the GC39 25th Anniversary Edition is a showcase of horological artistry and a fitting tribute to the legacy of Gerald Charles.
