This groundbreaking release marks the brand’s 25th anniversary with four limited-edition models, each produced in just 88 pieces. Featuring the world’s first ceramic bracelet with a matching ceramic clasp and micro-adjustment system, this watch is a testament to Formex’s innovation.
A New Level of Ceramic Craftsmanship
Although Formex has used ceramic in previous models, such as the Essence Leggera, those watches incorporated ceramic bezels and crowns with carbon-composite cases. The Essence Ceramica Skeleton is a step further—crafted entirely from black zirconium oxide ceramic, paired with a Grade 2 titanium inner case for durability and lightness.
Re-Engineered Case Suspension System
As part of the Essence collection, this watch includes Formex’s patented case-suspension system, which absorbs shocks and enhances comfort by allowing the case to move with wrist motions. The system has been redesigned to function with a full-ceramic case. Additionally, the screw-down crown—an Essence series first—ensures 100m water resistance.
Refined Skeletonized Aesthetic
Unlike traditional watches, the Essence Ceramica Skeleton replaces a standard dial with a multi-layered chapter ring, offering a view of the intricate Sellita SW200-1 SC movement. The skeletonized design is clean and sophisticated, with no printed branding on the dial, allowing the watch’s design to speak for itself.
